How do I access the CIMUSE Supercomputer?

Access to the CIMUSE Supercomputer is available to all STEM-affiliated faculty and students at CIMUSE member institutions.  No research proposals required!  To begin the process of obtaining access, contact the CIMUSE representative at your campus:

Missouri Western State University: Dr. Jeff Woodford

Truman State University: Dr. Colin DeGraf

Webster University: Dr. Xiaoyuan Suo

Southeast Missouri State University: Dr. Marcus Bond

Lincoln University of Missouri: Dr. Joel Leal Gutierrez

Your representative will then walk you through the process of obtaining an account on Hellbender, which is the host supercomputer at the University of Missouri-Columbia which houses the CIMUSE computers.  You will be asked a few questions about your computational needs and the resources that you might require, but if you are not sure, then simply choose the default options – these work for most users.

In 2026, we will be transitioning to a Federated Identity Management system based on InCommon and ORCID.  Stay tuned to see about its implementation!
