He employs continuum modeling using the Finite Element Method (FEM) in COMSOL Multiphysics, performs density functional theory (DFT) simulations with Quantum ESPRESSO, and develops MATLAB and Python code for post-processing and data analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dr. Himadri Chakraborty:<\/strong> Dr. Chakraborty\u2019s research on the CIMUSE cluster will use electron-phonon-coupled nonadiabatic simulation techniques, at the DFT level or beyond, to investigate <em>femto- and picosecond<\/em> dynamical processes in molecules. The target processes will involve charge transfer, excitonic decay, plasmon-exciton coupling, Jahn-Teller (J-T) distortion, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dr. Luke Monroe:<\/strong> Dr. Monroe uses computer models to explore chemical interactions in the atmosphere and the regional transport and environmental impacts of these chemical constituents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<br>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"428\" height=\"434\" src=\"https:\/\/cimuse.missouri.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/be2178_23be89de5c1d4fb983dd093b4718e311mv2-1.avif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-297\" style=\"width:221px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cimuse.missouri.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/be2178_23be89de5c1d4fb983dd093b4718e311mv2-1.avif 428w, https:\/\/cimuse.missouri.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/be2178_23be89de5c1d4fb983dd093b4718e311mv2-1-296x300.jpg 296w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 428px) 100vw, 428px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>Dr. Joel D. Leal-Gutierrez:<\/strong> Dr. Leal-Gutierrez\u2019s research focuses on understanding the genetic architecture of complex phenotypes. To this end, his laboratory applies biotechnological tools such as DNA and RNA sequencing, Genome-Wide Association (GWA) analysis, and deep phenotyping approaches.
